Generation of an accurate Facialground Truth for Stereo Algorithm Evaluation
نویسندگان
چکیده
Our experiment evaluates the respective performance of stereo algorithms on a set of stereo-pairs and associated ground truth disparity map generated from a 3D face surface. Contrary to expectations, there is seemingly very little difference between the performances of many currently known stereo algorithms in the case of human face reconstruction, although more complex methods (such as graph-cut ones) even incur heavy penalties in terms of processing time.

High-Resolution Stereo Datasets with Subpixel-Accurate Ground Truth
We present a structured lighting system for creating highresolution stereo datasets of static indoor scenes with highly accurate ground-truth disparities. The system includes novel techniques for efficient 2D subpixel correspondence search and self-calibration of cameras and projectors with modeling of lens distortion. Combining disparity estimates from multiple projector positions we are able ...

Recent progress in stereo algorithm performance is quickly outpacing the ability of existing stereo data sets to discriminate among the best-performing algorithms, motivating the need for more challenging scenes with accurate ground truth information. This paper describes a method for acquiring high-complexity stereo image pairs with pixel-accurate correspondence information using structured li...
متن کاملStereo HDR Disparity Map Computation Using Structured Light
In this paper, we present work in progress towards the generation of a ground truth data set for High Dynamic Range (HDR) stereo matching. The development and evaluation of novel stereo matching algorithms that are tailored to the characteristics of HDR images would greatly benefit from the availability of such reference data. We describe our laboratory setup and processing steps for acquiring ...
متن کاملReal-Time Dense Stereo Reconstruction Using Convex Optimisation with a Cost-Volume for Image-Guided Robotic Surgery
Reconstructing the depth of stereo-endoscopic scenes is an important step in providing accurate guidance in robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery. Stereo reconstruction has been studied for decades but remains a challenge in endoscopic imaging. Current approaches can easily fail to reconstruct an accurate and smooth 3D model due to textureless tissue appearance in the real surgical scene ...
متن کاملGround Truth Evaluation of Stereo Algorithms for Real World Applications
Current stereo algorithms are capable to calculate accurate (as defined, e.g., by needs in vision-based driver assistance) dense disparity maps in real time. They have become the source of three-dimensional data for several indoor and outdoor applications. However, ground truthbased evaluation of such algorithms has been typically limited to data sets generated indoors in laboratories. In this ...
